The E68 Xbox is one of the most common problems faced by the Xbox owners. While some people are well aware of the reasons and repairing methods of E68 Xbox, many count it as a death to the console.

The E68 Xbox error occurs mainly due to any one of the following reasons.

1-    Failure of hard drive
2-    Failure in the internal connection to the hard drive
3-    Problems to the fan [this is very rare]

Buying a fresh new hard drive may be an easiest way to get the xbox 360 error e68 solved but it won’t be possible to all people. Making sure that the hard drive is dead is the first step. This can be done either by running the console without the hard drive [switch off the device, remove the hard drive, switch on] or with another hard drive inserted to it. If the console works then, the problem is of the hard drive.

To ensure there is no problem in the internal connection to the hard drive, when you see the E68 Xbox signal, just detach all connections to the hard drive [do it only if you are aware of doing it] and reconnect. This may solve the E68 Xbox if the problem was due to the connection failure of hard drive.
If you are not familiar with the E68 Xbox signal system, here is how shall it be. A red single light shall be shown in the front panel of the Xbox console and a message shall be displayed in the screen which says “error code E68 Xbox, contact the manufacturer”.

The E68 Xbox 360 error is a very rare error that happens to the Xbox which affects the hard drive. Though the simplest way to get the Xbox 360 code E68 solved is to purchase a new hard disk drive, many people prefer to repair it at their own as much such stuff are available at present.

Before thinking of “how”, knowing “what” is important. Here in this case of E68 Xbox, it can either be a problem with the hard drive or any failure in the internal connection with the hard drive. Some reports show that problem with the fans may also lead to this error, but the manufacturer’s guidelines point to the failure of hard drive.
